Thank you very much for choosing GUBB to donate your items to! You can drop them at our registered address during our opening times. If you have large items or a large amount to donate, please call or message us in advance. We may be able to arrange to collect it from you.

The listing of donations is not exhaustive but is typical of the types of things we accept. To help, the items we definitely do not accept are:

• Adult clothing except for Maternity wear;
• Any clothing which has been personalised or has embroidered initials;
• Books and Toys, unless these are boxed and/or suitable to gift at our Christmas event;
• Individual car seats or helmets;
• Water or drinking bottles.
• Teeth and Dummies (unless new and sealed)
• Anything broken, missing parts or damaged. 
• Mattresses for Cots/Cot beds

If you are unsure please contact us BEFORE dropping off any donations, we will be happy to discuss this with you.

We are unable to accept car seats, bases or car booster seats (unless they are first stage ones donated as part of a complete travel system). This is because our insurance doesn't allow us to hand them back as, as not owning them from new we are unable to guarantee they haven't been involved in an accident. 

If we receive pre loved/used mattresses with a donated cot or cotbed we recycle these as the safety guidance is to use a new one for each child/new baby. 

If we get items in that are not accepted, damaged or faded we dispose of these responsibly through local partners and facilities.

Clothing, except for uniform, is collected by Roberts Recycling. We send all uniform either to St Luke's to be ragged or to Julie Clare  to go to schools abroad depending on the quality and need. If we can pass on items to other community organisations or local projects we will. If any items are remaining, we will sort these for recycling at the local recycling centre.
